PACCAR’s (Nasdaq:PCAR) Corporate office and its Kenworth Truck Company manufacturing facility in Renton were recently named as leaders in King County, Washington’s 2009 Best Workplaces for Recyclers. “PACCAR is honored to receive this prestigious environmental award,” said Richard Bangert, PACCAR vice president. “PACCAR is a global environmental leader and is committed to waste reduction, the conservation of natural resources and the ongoing protection of the environment. PACCAR’s recycling program is an important facet in its comprehensive environmental framework.” Several PACCAR commercial vehicle facilities have achieved “zero waste to landfill,” which has enhanced operating efficiency and contributed to a green environment.

IEC Electronics Corp (NYSE Amex: IEC), announced today it has achieved the prestigious ISO13485 certification. This certification applies to its electronic manufacturing services (EMS) operation in Newark, NY as well as its wire and cable operation in Victor, NY.

Boeing (NYSE: BA) and EgyptAir today announced that the airline has converted a previous order for two 777s into an order for an additional eight Next-Generation 737-800s. The order was added last week to Boeing’s Orders & Deliveries Web site attributed to an unidentified customer. The airline currently has seven 737-800s in operation and it is taking delivery of an additional five 737-800s this year. The airline currently has five 777s in its fleet and is scheduled to receive six 777-300ERs beginning next year.

Newspaper publisher A. H. Belo Corporation (NYSE: AHC) announced that Donald F. (Skip) Cass, Jr., 43, one of the Company’s two executive vice presidents and Secretary, will depart at year end to pursue another senior-level management position in the media industry or related businesses. Cass’s responsibilities for A. H. Belo’s technology platform, Internet initiatives and business development activities will be distributed among members of the Company’s Management Committee, where he has served since A. H. Belo’s spin-off from Belo Corp. in February 2008. During the transition of these responsibilities, Cass will continue to oversee several specific initiatives on behalf of A. H. Belo’s chief executive officer, Robert W. Decherd.

IBM (NYSE:IBM) today announced that industry analyst firm IDC has ranked it the worldwide leader in Information Technology (IT) Consulting.

Simon Property Group, Inc. (NYSE: SPG) announced today that its majority-owned partnership subsidiary, Simon Property Group, L.P., has agreed to sell $500 million aggregate principal amount of its 6.75% senior unsecured notes due 2014 in an underwritten offering through Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Deutsche Bank Securities Inc., Goldman, Sachs & Co., and UBS Securities LLC, as joint book-running managers. The notes were priced at 105.029% of the principal amount plus accrued interest from May 15, 2009 to yield 5.46% to maturity. The offering is expected to close on August 11, 2009.
