OpenTable Q4 Beats; Q1, Year Revenue Views In-Line

Shares of online restaurant restaurant reservation service OpenTable (OPEN) are up $2.29, or almost 5%, at $51.60, after the company this afternoon reported Q4 revenue and profit per share that came in slightly higher than analysts had been expecting, and projected this quarter’s revenue, and the year’s revenue, roughly in line with consensus.

Revenue in the three months ended in December rose 16%, year over year, to $43 million, yielding EPS of 46 cents a share.

Analysts had been modeling $42.5 million and 43 cents.

The company’s count for installed restaurants was 19,801 at quarter’s end, up 15% from the prior-year quarter. The number of diners seated in the quarter with its service rose by 21%, the company said, to 29.9 million.

For the current quarter, the company sees revenue of $44.7 million to $46.1 million, and non-GAAP EPS in a range of 39 cents to 44 cents. That compares to the current consensus of $45.8 million and 46 cents.

For the full year, the company sees revenue in a range of $186 million to $193 million, and EPS of $1.79 to $1.96, compared to consensus of $189 million and $1.93 per share.
